About The Position

As a GCE Sr. Manager – Manufacturing Controls Engineering, you’ll be part of our GCE (Global Capital Engineering) team. You’ll get to manage, develop and grow a team consisting of controls and robotics engineers to maximize productivity. You will support the Strategy/Footprint team when required for any product equipment transfers. You will implement and oversee the execution of productivity projects within the region, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. You will monitor and report on the progress of productivity projects, identifying any issues or delays and developing solutions to address them. You will develop and execute training programs to upskill plant engineering staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest manufacturing engineering techniques and practices. You will collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings across regional manufacturing operations. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting GCE teams in their development and the optimization of manufacturing processes. You will build and maintain close relationships with Mfg. sites, critical business support functions in region and critical strategic external automation partners/suppliers. You will be the initial line of support for production down/emergency Mfg. equipment and/or process down. You will provide technical leadership for robotics, industrial automation, and control systems across Global manufacturing sites. You will support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of robotic cells, PLC-controlled equipment, HMI systems, sensors, drives, and integrated automation systems. You will partner with plant teams and suppliers to implement and standardize robotics and controls solutions that improve safety, uptime, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering engineering projects, preferably with experience in Protrak project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex engineering processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and develop engineering teams.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Microsoft Office, Power BI
  • Strong understanding of general LEAN principals, manufacturing principles, DFM, and DFA
  • Strong expertise in robotics, industrial automation, and manufacturing control systems.
  • Experience with PLC programming/troubleshooting, HMI interfaces, sensors, servo drives, and robotic manufacturing applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical problem-solving for complex automated equipment and controls-based production systems.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
