About The Position

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking a Senior Brand Marketing Manager to lead brand marketing for multiple high-profile game franchises. This role is crucial for the financial success of a portfolio of games, including live service titles. The successful candidate will develop and manage holistic global marketing plans to drive growth and profitability, focusing on acquiring new players, engaging existing ones, and re-engaging previous players. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong experience in marketing games, live service products, and new business models, possessing a blend of creativity and analytical skills to drive product strategy and year-round marketing plans for continuous player engagement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of video game product marketing experience, with a focus on live services and AAA game marketing
  • Marketing degree or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree is preferred
  • Live services experience, can include products with continuous revenue models and constantly updated content offerings
  • Expertise in assessing and building new business models with players in mind
  • Ability to make data driven marketing decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead individuals in creating and executing the best solutions for the business, partners and consumers
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and a persistent attention to detail

  • Proven expertise in the planning, execution and leadership of business plans
  • Bi-lingual fluency in English and Japanese

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing for game titles
  • Set overall marketing strategy for the entire lifecycle of products – from greenlight to launch campaign to post-launch marketing plans and operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, across SIE and Sony, to deliver best-in-class marketing campaign tactics
  • Work closely with consumer insights, analytics and community management teams to assess player needs/behaviors to better define product strategy and pivot ongoing marketing tactics
  • Drive holistic franchise management, marketing revenue opportunities outside of game launches
  • Manage annual title marketing budgets
  • Partner with studio leadership to deliver on overall business goals for each game
