The Sr. Manager FP&A – Merchandise Cross Category will partner with the business to coordinate and analyze the forecast and budgeting processes, along with the development of long-range strategic plans. In addition, this position will develop tools and reports that provide insights for the business and will lead the financial direction and execution for the Company’s strategic vision. Supervised by the Director - Merchandise FP&A and manages three direct reports.

Requirements

  • 7 + years of professional financial experience in a retail or consumer products organization (preferred)
  • Experience in a financial support role in a retail category management environment helpful
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, business, or related field, MBA preferred but not required
  • Advanced analytical skills coupled with an ability to interpret, communicate findings, and make recommendations to senior leadership
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills
  • Ability to influence decision makers through financial analyses and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build teams, processes, and models that deliver desired results
  • Innate inquisitiveness relative to process workings and financial results
  • Desire to see personal and organizational effort lead to bottom line results
  • Knowledge of financial processes and internal controls
  • Comfortable working independently and in collaborative manner in a cross-functional environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP or Business Intelligence systems knowledge helpful
  • Prior FP&A experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business and finance partners to consolidate plans and forecasts
  • Responsible for analyzing financial roll-ups to identify and explain variances
  • Partner with the business to prepare plan, forecast and monthly financial presentation decks
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve metrics and scorecards
  • Works closely with the business to develop and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
  • Help support long-range strategic financial plan for the function
  • Develop quarterly Board of Director and Audit Committee financial presentations
  • Develop tools and reporting that will provide insights into the business and improve productivity
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as needed
  • Monitor overhead expense budget v. actual results, identify trends, and lead cost containment initiatives
  • Oversee Cross Category Merchandise FP&A function
