About The Position

OpenGov is seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and hands-on Sr. Manager to join its GTM Finance & Strategy team. Working closely with the Director of GTM Finance & Strategy, the CFO, and GTM leadership, the Sr. Manager turns complex operational data into actionable insights that improve decision-making and support company growth. The position is in-office at OpenGov’s San Francisco headquarters and reports directly to the Director, GTM Finance & Strategy. The role spans performance analysis and forecasting, ARR reporting infrastructure, GTM expense and P&L management, financial modeling, and strategic planning. It also leads high-impact projects and manages and develops a Sr. Analyst. Success requires strong analytical judgment, advanced modeling ability, attention to detail, persistence in resolving complex data problems, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to executive audiences.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive structured, well-reasoned analysis and decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, largely independently.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise, polished, executive-ready presentations and articulate assumptions, risks, and findings.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including the ability to build complex models from first principles and make them scalable.
  • Fluency with CRM data, such as Salesforce CPQ, and BI tools such as Looker; comfort diagnosing and resolving issues in complex, messy data.
  • Actively experiments with AI tools to simplify and scale work; builds workflows and thinks in systems rather than one-off solutions.
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing junior analysts’ work, providing direction and constructive feedback, and performing rigorous analytical quality control.
  • Low-ego, high-output approach, focused on the work rather than credit.
