About The Position

The Senior Manager, Data Center CSA & Permitting leads the design, coordination, and delivery of civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) scope, along with permitting strategy and execution, across data center projects. This role ensures that site development, building design, and regulatory approvals are aligned to support efficient, compliant, and scalable project delivery. In addition to technical and project leadership, this individual manages and develops a team—driving consistency in standards, processes, and execution across a growing portfolio of data center.

Requirements

  • Define and maintain CSA design standards, specifications, and guidelines across projects
  • Oversee civil, structural, and architectural design development from concept through construction
  • Ensure designs meet performance requirements, constructability expectations, and long-term operational needs
  • Lead permitting strategy, planning, and execution across multiple jurisdictions
  • Oversee preparation, submission, and approval of permit packages, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
  • Build and manage relationships with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), utilities, and regulatory agencies
  • Identify permitting risks early and drive mitigation strategies to maintain project schedules
  • Partner with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment from design through construction
  • Lead CSA design reviews at key milestones and coordinate cross-functional input and approvals
  • Integrate CSA scope with electrical, mechanical, and controls systems to support overall project success
  • Oversee site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, structural systems, and building envelope design
  • Ensure designs account for scalability, phasing, and campus-level development strategies
  • Support due diligence activities, including site feasibility and early-stage development assessments
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CSA and permitting professionals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support resource planning, prioritization, and team growth across multiple project
