About The Position

EverHealth is seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering to join the EverHealth Platform Engineering team, reporting to the Head of Platform Engineering. This role will lead and develop the Cloud Engineering function responsible for AWS infrastructure, cloud architecture standards, infrastructure-as-code strategy, cloud security implementation, cloud cost optimization, account and environment standards, cloud automation, reusable infrastructure patterns, and cloud operational risk reduction across EverHealth. The position involves hands-on management of a team of Cloud Engineers, including leading the team, prioritizing the backlog, coaching engineers, managing performance, establishing operating cadence, and staying directly involved in cloud architecture decisions, infrastructure delivery, platform modernization, technical escalations, and operational improvements. Collaboration with SRE, Product Engineering, Delivery Engineering, Enablement Engineering, Security, Compliance, and business and product stakeholders is key. Cloud Engineering owns the AWS platform and infrastructure standards and serves as an escalation point for cloud infrastructure issues when SRE cannot resolve them and the root cause lies within cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience supporting SaaS, healthcare technology, or other business-critical cloud platforms strongly preferred
  • Experience working in HIPAA-compliant environments and supporting secure handling of healthcare data strongly preferred
  • AWS certifications strongly preferred
  • Cloud engineering leadership mindset with deep experience in AWS infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, cloud security, cost optimization, and platform modernization
  • Strong hands-on cloud infrastructure judgment and ability to stay close to technical work while managing people
  • Ability to drive development of cloud standards, reusable patterns, and operating discipline without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive cloud platform improvements across teams with clear priorities and practical execution
  • Ability to balance scalability, security, reliability, cost, engineering speed, and long-term maintainability
  • Strong coaching skills and ability to raise the technical maturity of cloud engineers and partner teams
  • Comfortable challenging architecture, cost, or security decisions when they create risk for the business or platform
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain cloud architecture decisions, infrastructure risks, cost tradeoffs, and modernization priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting with executive-ready or stakeholder-facing reporting on cloud cost, cloud health, infrastructure risk, and modernization progress
