About The Position

The Walt Disney Company is a leading diversified international family entertainment and media enterprise. Platform Distribution Strategy is responsible for advancing Media Networks, Direct-To-Consumer, Digital Transactional, and other platforms. This role will partner with PD Strategy executive leadership in developing and executing a unified global sales strategy, collaborating with key groups across other business units. The Sr. Manager will support international/local teams on ongoing deal evaluations and analysis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of directly related experience in strategy, finance, or business development; could be a combination of professional work and applicable education (e.g., MBA or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Understanding of media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends.
  • Experience managing in-depth analyses and projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proven written, verbal, modeling skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in investment banking and/or management consulting.
  • Industry experience in global media, technology and/or with subscription business models.
  • Experience managing (directly and/or indirectly) and growing junior team members.
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and thoughtful advisory support to international teams on existing business models, potential risks and challenges, and solves.
  • Coordinate with local teams in APAC, LATAM and EMEA to align key issues and goals, and support a streamlined negotiation process.
  • Support any ongoing modeling and analysis needed as part of the deal evaluations.
  • Work with domestic Sales, Legal, Business Affairs and other stakeholders on select Pay-TV, and global DTC and transactional clients.
  • Manages team responsible for platform distribution strategy.
  • Ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports.
