Platform Distribution Strategy is responsible for applying ingenuity and critical thinking skills to advance the Media Networks, Direct-To-Consumer, Digital Transactional, and other platforms. Platform Distribution Strategy is looking for a Sr. Manager, Business Strategy to partner with PD Strategy executive leadership in developing and executing a unified global sales strategy, through partnership with key groups across other business units. The Sr. Manager will play a key role in supporting the international / local teams on ongoing deal evaluations and analysis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of directly related experience in strategy, finance, or business development; could be a combination of professional work and applicable education (e.g., MBA or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Understanding of media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends
  • Experience managing in-depth analyses and projects from concept to completion
  • Excellent management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proven written, verbal, modeling skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in investment banking and/or management consulting
  • Industry experience in global media, technology and/or with subscription business models
  • Experience managing (directly and/or indirectly) and growing junior team members
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and thoughtful advisory support to international teams on existing business models, potential risks and challenges, and solves
  • Coordinate with local teams in APAC, LATAM and EMEA to align key issues and goals, and support a streamlined negotiation process
  • Support any ongoing modeling and analysis needed as part of the deal evaluations
  • Work with domestic Sales, Legal, Business Affairs and other stakeholders on select Pay-TV, and global DTC and transactional clients
  • Manages team responsible for platform distribution strategy
  • Ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports
