About The Position

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting a Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence, to join their team in Irvine, California. This role supports the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Imaging & Structural Heart teams and acts as a strategic leader for high-impact, cross-functional commercial initiatives. The position drives data-driven decision-making, optimizes operations, and enhances organizational capabilities through advanced analytics, reporting, and insights. The Sr. Manager will lead a team that partners with the commercial organization to achieve strategic initiatives. This role involves building and scaling a centralized function that integrates market benchmarks, competitive intelligence, systems, and analytics to drive strategy. Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Capital & Service, Sales Enablement, HR, and IT is key to creating sustainable frameworks, monitoring signals, and translating insights into actionable recommendations. This is a critical role for setting the standard in commercial operations and strategy within MedTech.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years in BI, Commercial operations, Sales operations, or Data Analytics.
  • 3+ years in leadership roles, preferably in commercial or engineering.
  • Master storyteller who translates complex data into clear actionable insights for executives.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and confident with the ability to influence decisions at the highest level.
  • Ability to zoom in and zoom out effectively using data-driven methods.
  • Ability to gather competitive intelligence and create viable actions.
  • Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), data warehouses, and data management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of database management, SQL, and trends in big data analytics.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Forward thinker, including how to leverage LLM or related AI in the commercial space.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Data Science, or related).
  • Experience with Python, SAP, Maximo, SaaS.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organization's Business Intelligence (BI) roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with commercial functions to drive alignment, planning, and execution of impactful projects.
  • Turn ideas into concrete projects with tangible benefits, delivered on time.
  • Implement sustainable, scalable solutions while maintaining agility for a dynamic business.
  • Create executive dashboards and self-serve analytics focused on market signals and competitive performance.
  • Translate complex data into clear stories for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present insights and recommendations to the organization, including the field and commercial leaders.
  • Build and mentor a cross-functional team of analysts, fostering curiosity and accountability.
  • Oversee projects, dashboards, and analytics, ensuring data quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.
