About The Position

The Sr Manager, Brand Communications and PR will support the VP of Brand Communications and PR to lead PR, media relations and high impact internal communications for the luxury arm of the Signet Jewelers portfolio. The Sr. Manager, Brand Communications and PR role will build brand specific PR and communications that will include consumer and trade media relations, celebrity / VIP dressing, press events, VIP ambassador programs, and executive visibility. This role will also support internal communications, corporate announcements and charitable / sustainability efforts in alignment with the central team’s strategies.

Requirements

  • NYC based candidates ONLY
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years recommended in a communications/public relations field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong editing ability.
  • Experience with crisis communications a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and the flexibility to managing multiple projects with competing priorities and shifting timeframes, with the capacity to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with PC software tools for communications, presentations and reports, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of the design and layout of communications materials

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand communication and public relations strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of media relations, including proactive outreach, press release development, media kit creation, and crisis communications.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of compelling content for various channels, including press releases, media pitches, corporate messaging, and internal communications.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyze PR campaign effectiveness, and provide regular reports on key metrics and insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, executive leadership, and other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging and integrated communication efforts.
  • Manage external PR agencies and consultants, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective resource utilization.
  • Identify and mitigate potential reputational risks through proactive planning and rapid response strategies.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in brand communications and public relations.
  • Support executive visibility initiatives, including media training and speaking engagements.
