Requirements
- A Bachelors’ degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Sciences or a closely related science or engineering major and at least 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a Master degree and 5 years of industry experience or a PhD degree with 3 years of industry experience.
- 3+yrs of engineering management required.
- Knowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and engineering practices.
- Knowledge of multiple unit processes related to chip/eval operation.
- Knowledge of engineering statistics.
- Good written/oral communication skill.
- Fluency in MS Office suite as well as JMP or other statistics software.
- Project management skill
- Team management and development skill.
Nice To Haves
- Semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience preferred.
- Experience of mentoring other engineers.
- Knowledge of semiconductor lasers or optoelectronic devices is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervising/facilitating engineers for process control, yield, process development, and meeting targets.
- Supervising/facilitating engineers for technical problem-solving.
- Providing general technical leadership.
- Set priorities and guide engineering activities in alignment with the goal of organization.
- Collaborates with other functional groups, including Operation, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Design, Supply Chain, etc. to achieve business unit/organizational objectives.
- Assess competence and evaluate performance of individual engineers and provide mentorship for professional development.
- Promote and facilitate cooperative teamwork.
- Serve as the representative of the team in internal/external communication.
