About The Position

This role involves supervising and facilitating engineers in process control, yield, process development, and meeting targets. The position also requires technical problem-solving, providing general technical leadership, and setting priorities for engineering activities in alignment with organizational goals. Collaboration with other functional groups such as Operation, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Design, and Supply Chain is essential to achieve business unit/organizational objectives. The role includes assessing engineer competence, evaluating performance, and providing mentorship for professional development, as well as promoting and facilitating cooperative teamwork. The Sr Manager will also serve as the team's representative in internal and external communications.

Requirements

• A Bachelors’ degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Sciences or a closely related science or engineering major and at least 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a Master degree and 5 years of industry experience or a PhD degree with 3 years of industry experience.
• 3+yrs of engineering management required.
• Knowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and engineering practices.
• Knowledge of multiple unit processes related to chip/eval operation.
• Knowledge of engineering statistics.
• Good written/oral communication skill.
• Fluency in MS Office suite as well as JMP or other statistics software.
• Project management skill.
• Team management and development skill.

Nice To Haves

• Semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience preferred.
• Experience of mentoring other engineers.
• Knowledge of semiconductor lasers or optoelectronic devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising/facilitating engineers for process control, yield, process development, and meeting targets.
