About The Position

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), aiming to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. The Amazon Leo Supply Chain team is seeking a Sr Manager - ASIC Sustaining Engineering to collaborate with Design, Marketing, and Sales teams to align product roadmaps with market demands. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing strategy while upholding design quality standards, and experience navigating new and ambiguous environments to solve complex problems with diverse cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 7+ years of people management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
  • 15+ years in product engineering, with significant experience in senior technical leadership roles within the semiconductor industry.
  • Deep expertise in semiconductor hardware, specifically in ASIC design, silicon photonics, RFIC, or analog/mixed-signal circuit
  • Strong understanding of fabless supply chains, test engineering, and yield analysis. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Semiconductor Physics or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Design teams to transition of chips from tape-out to final product, including validation, characterization, and debugging.
  • Analyzing wafer fabrication data and test results to improve chip yield, directly impacting profitability.
  • Managing relationships with foundries and Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) partners and driving process & yield maturity.
  • Driving engineering innovation, collaborating on design-for-test (DFT) initiatives, test cost reduction and maintaining design quality standards.
  • Work closely with Design Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality and ensure alignment to meet product ramp milestones.
  • Build and lead global teams across Yield & Test engineering. Drive culture of excellence, accountability and problem solving.
