About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Accounts Receivable will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Accounts Receivable function. The role will lead and deliver end-to-end Order to Cash processes, establish strategic and collaborative methods of increasing cash flow, and reduce bad debt via strong credit policy and procedures while maintaining a strong financial control environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in finance, credit, and collections.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior accounts receivable/credit leadership role.
  • Knowledge/experience in legal aspects of credit.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation skills balanced with strong customer service skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capability.
  • Strong ability to quickly identify problems and take actions to address.
  • Strategic thought leader with strong critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving and managing change within an organization and multiple shifting priorities.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver a solution that meets the needs of the business.
  • Solid leadership skills to include setting objectives, monitoring performance, and communicating feedback on a regular basis.
  • Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office Suite with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Strong process improvement experience.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Consumer Products Group industry experience preferred but not required.
  • CCE – NACM Certified Credit Executive preferred but not required.
  • SAP system experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing customer risk and collections including developing collection and risk assessment techniques and strategies for onshore and offshore teams to optimize team productivity, collections and minimize risk.
  • Overseeing the customer claims process, including leading deduction recovery efforts to optimize profitability and cash recovery and collaborating with business teams to improve order and billing accuracy and address denied claims to ensure maximum recovery and identification and correction of root-cause issues.
  • Leading cash applications team and processes, including collaborating with offshore leadership to manage staffing and ensure SLAs are consistently met and ensuring cash is applied timely and accurately.
  • Leading month-end close and reporting activities, including managing reserve requirements, account reconciliations, trend and variance analysis reporting, monthly, quarterly, and annual cash forecasting and supporting unclaimed property process.
  • Ensuring the AR team is appropriately structured, staffed, and trained with a high degree of customer service to both internal and external customers, processes are executed timely and consistently, internal controls are adequate and adhered to, and processes are developed/enhanced that leverage automation and technology.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Global Controller, including support of a timely financial close cycle and special projects.
