Position Overview This role will shape the future of Price Optimization general ledger process.. You’ll lead process improvement initiatives, manage a team, and ensure high-quality, technology-enabled close process. This role is ideal for experienced leaders ready to support transformation of a critical finance function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in public accounting.
  • CPA required.
  • A natural curiosity to problem-solving to understand the "why" behind outcomes.
  • Proven experience in accounting management, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, operational accounting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Advanced leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and a curious mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the end-to-end general ledger (GL) function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant monthly and quarterly close for the Price business unit.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the calculation and continuous improvement of key metrics and reserves, including Utilization Rates and the Claim Adjustment Reserve, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with operational drivers.
  • Drive process optimization and standardization initiatives across the GL function, leveraging automation, AI and advanced analytics solutions and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Workday team to drive process transformation in our general ledger system.
  • Manage the external audit, be the key contact to the external audit team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Enterprise, FP&A, IT, and Operations to align accounting processes with broader business objectives and system capabilities.
  • Provide training, support, and development opportunities to team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while supporting audit readiness.
