About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Accounting will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). This role provides guidance and leadership in the development and documentation of internal controls, processes, and procedures. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and support financial initiatives, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and internal policies in judgmental areas such as revenue recognition under ASC 606 and inventory valuation, as well as government contract accounting standards and requirements. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing requirements in the aerospace and defense accounting environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

5 years experience in SAP with an understanding of costs and revenues for an array of contractual programs in a complex manufacturing / logistics environment
CPA
Relevant experience in government contract accounting and ASC 606
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities
