About The Position

JLL is seeking a Sr Maintenance Mechanic to provide building maintenance in a warehouse, distribution center, or office building. The role requires a strong background in building maintenance, customer service, communication, and problem solving. The mechanic will address general maintenance issues, assist with building and equipment repairs, complete inspections, and respond to emergencies. This position is on-site in Columbus, Ohio, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; overtime or off-hours work may be needed. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills and experience with CMMS.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and use ladders up to 28 feet.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to develop creative solutions for general building needs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Basic plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve general maintenance issues.
• Maintain lighting systems, including bulbs and ballasts.
• Work with the team to maintain and repair buildings and equipment.
• Perform general interior maintenance, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
• Complete minor plumbing repairs.
• Perform assigned special tasks, including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance.
• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence, and report conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
• Respond effectively to emergencies 24/7.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping and safe work areas, recognize hazards, and propose ways to eliminate them.
