About The Position

United Rotary Brush is a manufacturer of specialty industrial brushes for the airport, road construction, street sweeping, and plow industries. The Lakeland, Florida manufacturing facility is hiring a Senior Machine Operator to participate in line setup and the production of high-volume brushes and brooms. The operator ensures machines run effectively and efficiently and that production needs are met through daily production efforts. The role includes operating machines and performing light to medium troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and cleaning while following safety and quality guidelines. The position works a 12-hour night shift, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Training takes place on the first shift for two weeks. The role is suited to someone who takes pride in producing quality products and wants to help maintain a safe, quality-focused production environment.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Four to five years of machine manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of production procedures.
Problem-solving skills and mechanical inclination.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints.
Start, set up, and adjust machines to complete tasks accurately.
Perform all required changeovers.
Perform light machine maintenance.
Keep the work area organized and clean.
Identify machine issues and report them to a supervisor.
Load heavy-gauge wire rolls and tubing-retaining wire correctly.
Perform quality checks on Tube Broom.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects.
Maintain accountability for issued tools.
Identify safety issues or problems.
Help ensure machines operate effectively and efficiently and production needs are met.
