Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience processing mortgage loan applications.
  • Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, bond and conventional underwriting guidelines and loan process.
  • Ability to review AUS findings and guidelines prior to loan submission to confirm that application fits loan program applied for.
  • Proficient in Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LPA).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Nice To Haves

  • VHDA and NCHFA processing experience a plus.
  • Prefer working knowledge of Encompass loan origination system.
  • New Construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely processing of Conventional, FHA and VA mortgage loan applications in compliance with investor requirements.
  • Ensure completeness of mortgage loan applications, clarifying and obtaining additional documentation as needed.
  • Prepare loan file for underwriting approval.
  • Proactive communication of loan status to originators, borrowers and agents.
