The Licensing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing producer/agent licensing applications, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and corporate regulatory requirements. This role manages and maintains producer (broker/agent) demographic information, insurance credentials, appointments, and licensing records to support organizational compliance and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include researching and resolving licensing-related inquiries from producers, general agents, marketing partners, and internal stakeholders. The Licensing Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on producer licensing requirements and processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of licensing data while supporting business objectives.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college or 4 years business experience.
  • Knowledge of Insurance business.
  • Organization and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • PC proficiency to include MS Office products such as Word, Excel.
  • Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and use of cloud applications.
  • 2 years of firsthand experience managing and maintaining insurance agent broker license and appointments.
  • Knowledge of NIPR, SBS, Sircon applications.
