About The Position

The Role We’re looking for a Senior Licensing Paralegal to join our Legal & Risk team. This role will support the Associate General Counsel and play a key role in managing alcohol and tobacco licensing requirements across our operations. You’ll manage licensing activities from application through renewal, maintain licensing records and processes, research regulatory requirements, and partner with teams across the organization to help ensure compliance. You’ll also work with outside counsel and regulatory agencies and support broader Legal & Risk initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of legal experience in a regulatory or licensing capacity
  • Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex projects
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with database development and testing

Responsibilities

  • Manage state, county, and local alcohol and tobacco licenses across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare and file license applications, renewals, surrenders, transfers, and amendments
  • Manage licensing updates related to officer changes, new and existing locations, and legal or assumed name changes
  • Research and interpret applicable licensing laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Provide licensing guidance to onsite teams and leadership
  • Create, maintain, and update licensing procedures, guidance documents, and supporting materials
  • Develop and maintain a license tracking system to monitor licensing activity and requirements
  • Coordinate fingerprinting and background requirements for officers and managers
  • Develop and provide alcohol and tobacco training for operations teams
  • Partner with internal teams, outside counsel, and regulatory agencies to address licensing needs
  • Support Legal & Risk projects and other department initiatives
