About The Position

The Talent Development Leader is a key member of the Talent Team and overall Human Resources team, responsible for designing, delivering, and managing enterprise-wide learning and development programs that build organizational capability and support employee growth at all levels, as well as overseeing talent management processes like succession planning, coaching, talent reviews, and performance management. This role owns the strategy and execution of core talent development processes, including learning design and facilitation, succession planning, performance reviews, coaching engagements, and 360-degree feedback administration. The Talent Development Leader partners closely with HR Business Partners and organizational leaders to ensure talent initiatives are aligned with business priorities and drive measurable impact. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in instructional design, facilitation, and talent management systems, and is equally skilled at managing complex projects, maintaining operational excellence, and building trusted relationships across the organization. A successful Talent Development Leader is organized, proactive, and passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that develop individuals and strengthen the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in talent development, learning & development, or a related HR function.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating learning programs for diverse audiences, in-person and virtually.
  • Proven experience administering performance review and 360-degree feedback processes.
  • Hands-on experience with succession planning processes and talent review facilitation.
  • Strong proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with talent management platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, or similar).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to plan, track, and deliver complex initiatives on time.
  • High attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and facilitate confidently at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms).
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for content development, project management, and program design.
  • Understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and talent management best practices.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., ATD CPTD, SHRM-CP/SCP, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programs, workshops, and curricula for employees at all levels, including leadership development and functional skills training.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create blended learning solutions across in-person, virtual, and self-paced formats.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops with confidence and effectiveness, both in-person and virtually.
  • Evaluate learning program effectiveness using data and feedback; continuously iterate to improve outcomes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across the business to identify learning needs and co-develop targeted content.
  • Lead the administration and continuous improvement of the annual performance review process, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for employees and managers.
  • Manage end-to-end administration of 360-degree feedback programs, including platform configuration, communication, stakeholder guidance, and results debriefs.
  • Support succession planning processes, including facilitation of talent review sessions, maintenance of succession slates, and development planning for high-potential employees.
  • Administer and support coaching engagements, including coordinating internal and external coaching engagements and tracking outcomes.
  • Oversee career pathing frameworks and development planning tools in partnership with HRBPs.
  • Serve as a primary administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, user management, reporting, and system maintenance.
  • Manage talent management system configuration and workflows related to performance, succession, and development processes.
  • Ensure data integrity across all talent platforms; troubleshoot system issues and partner with vendors and IT as needed.
  • Stay current on LMS and talent technology trends; recommend enhancements and new tools to improve the learner and administrator experience.
  • Generate and analyze system reports to track learning completion, engagement, and program effectiveness.
  • Lead the planning and execution of multiple concurrent talent development projects, managing timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communications, and risk.
  • Maintain detailed project plans and tracking documentation; proactively identify and resolve obstacles to keep initiatives on schedule.
  • Communicate project status clearly and consistently to HR leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of talent development processes through documentation, testing, and feedback loops.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners to understand client group needs and deliver tailored talent development solutions.
  • Provide consultative guidance to people managers on talent processes, coaching approaches, and development planning.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert on learning and talent development best practices.
  • Represent the Talent Development function in cross-functional forums and contribute to broader HR initiatives as needed.
