About The Position

The New York studio is seeking a Sr. Landscape Design Professional to join its growing Planning practice. This role involves coordinating and undertaking the planning, development, production, and delivery of projects, either as part of a project design team or independently. Assignments require independent action, decision-making, and the ability to supervise others.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or architecture
8+ years’ experience
LEED credential required within 6 months of employment

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in landscape architecture or urban design may also be required.

Responsibilities

Develops, modifies, and reviews planning documents according to established standards.
Works on a full range of assignments in the delivery of all project phases and construction administration.
Develops, modifies, and reviews master plan reports, construction documents, and specifications.
Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Displays ability to create design concepts and expresses graphically.
Compiles data and performs elementary design computations.
Performs benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects, and images.
Assures HOK document standards are met and archives documents appropriately.
May assist team in construction administration document management.
Reads and understands Agreements to Work within budget, schedule, work plan, and client constraints.
May mentor and direct the work of intern staff.
Actively promotes collaborative and innovative culture.
Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
