About The Position

The Sr. Journeyman – Appliance Service is a highly skilled technician who diagnoses and resolves complex service and repair issues involving residential appliances and gas/electric water heaters. The role serves as a technical resource for escalated and repeat service issues, applying advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions and a high-quality customer experience. The Sr. Journeyman also supports the development of other service technicians through field training, mentoring, and sharing knowledge gained through manufacturer training, while supporting effective equipment and inventory practices and promoting services offered by Constellation Home. The position has an expected hourly range of $33.92 to $37.69, varying based on experience. Additional earning potential is available through voluntary overtime and task work opportunities, depending on business need. The role includes a company-provided vehicle for take-home use and an in-house training group supporting career development.

Requirements

Valid Maryland driver's license.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Average physical ability, including bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
Ability to lift objects of various weights.

Nice To Haves

Gas fitter's license.
CFC Certification Core & Type 1.

Responsibilities

Identify and correct complex problems in specified appliances and gas/electric water heaters.
Handle escalated cases involving multiple requests for service.
Maintain Company stock and equipment and make recommendations about additions or deletions.
Attend appliance manufacturer training and present information to the team.
Promote other services offered by the Company to customers.
Train and mentor other service technicians in the field.
