About The Position

UC Health is hiring a full-time Sr. Interventional Radiology Technologist for the radiology department at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, working first shift. The role assumes supervisory or Lead Technologist responsibilities for a defined area or shift in addition to regular patient-care duties. The technologist works as a supervisor under the direction of the Interventional Radiology Manager and is responsible for the duties of an Advanced Special Procedures Technologist.

Requirements

Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences.
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certifications (VI).
Radiographers License in the State of Ohio.
At least 3 years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist or Advanced Special Procedures Technologist.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties of an Advanced Special Procedures Technologist identified in the Advanced Special Procedures job description.
Work with the Assistant Director to oversee the schedule of a particular area and optimize the use of equipment and staff to serve patients and physicians effectively.
Prepare schedules for employees and support staff for a subspecialty area or shift.
Identify supplies to be ordered and verify that the area is adequately stocked for daily operations.
Work with the Assistant Director to resolve patient scheduling and employee relations problems.
Provide first-line staff communication and work with the Assistant Director to maintain technologists' procedural skills.
Participate with the Assistant Director in performance evaluations for employees in the area.
Participate in interviews and make hiring recommendations to the Assistant Director for supervised staff.
