About The Position
The Sr. Information Security Analyst develops and operates scalable security data, analytics, and reporting capabilities that provide a centralized view of risk across FreeWheel and Comcast, with an emphasis on using AI to automate data pipelines and business intelligence. The role helps protect corporate information systems by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, auditing and analyzing security measures, and collaborating with teams to strengthen data systems and educate users. It requires independent problem-solving and strategic planning in information security. The position builds automated security data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions, consolidating information across security domains and data sources. It works with cross-functional teams and Information Security leadership to integrate security measures, address gaps, and support security operations. The role is hybrid, with two days in Chicago, Illinois, and requires the ability to work variable schedules, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with business intelligence, security reporting, dashboards, ETL, data integration, and data pipeline technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Knowledge of scripting languages and tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, regex, and SQL/PL-SQL.
- Knowledge of APIs and data formats including JSON and XML.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; applicants with a combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience may also be considered.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Splunk SmartStore or similar technologies.
- AWS knowledge, including EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Athena, Glue, and SageMaker.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Ansible, VS Code, Jupyter, or similar tools.
- Experience working with MCP, prompts, and evaluations.
- ISC2 CISSP, CCSP, or similar security certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated security data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that consolidate information from multiple teams and sources.
- Develop centralized security reporting across cloud security, application security, asset management, artificial intelligence, vulnerability management, compliance, and related security domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into new and existing systems.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain incident response protocols, including investigating and resolving security breaches.
- Design and implement security controls to proactively detect and prevent unauthorized access.
- Analyze security hardware and software changes to assess their impact and ensure compliance with industry practices.
- Research and implement approved tactical and strategic information security plans.
- Lead security awareness and training initiatives to promote a culture of security resilience.
- Audit data systems to ensure high visibility of information security precautions in system design.
- Collaborate with Information Security leadership to address security gaps and weaknesses.
- Work variable schedules, including nights and weekends, as necessary for security operations.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
