About The Position

EMI, an LSI Industries company, is seeking a Bilingual Senior HR Generalist to support its teams in Tampa, FL and Alpharetta, GA. This role is responsible for delivering operational HR support to two or more sites or one very large site, acting as a trusted HR partner to employees, managers, and site leadership. The position handles day-to-day transactional HR processes and contributes to broader talent and compliance initiatives. The Senior HR Generalist bridges tactical execution with analysis and process improvement, ensuring consistent policy application, timely resolution of employee needs, and alignment with company values in a multi-site manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include acting as the primary point of contact for timekeeping, leave administration, workers’ compensation intake, and related compliance matters, while partnering on strategic priorities such as employee engagement, retention, and regulatory readiness.

Requirements

  • Knowledge or background in HR operations, employment law, leave administration, and workers’ compensation processes, with understanding of multi-site manufacturing environments.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, demanding, multi-site environment.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills for high-level interactions with co-workers, vendors, and employees.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing timekeeping, leave administration, workers’ compensation, and compliance.
  • Prior exposure to strategic HR initiatives such as employee engagement or process improvement.
  • Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, workers’ compensation, and multi-state employment regulations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, time and attendance systems, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Understanding of manufacturing work environments and associated HR challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new-hire orientation sessions and manage the full onboarding process for employees at appointed sites.
  • Enter new hires into the HRIS and related systems, maintaining accurate employee records and completing all required documentation.
  • Process and audit employee timecards for their appointed sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance with wage and hour laws, and timely submission for payroll.
  • Support open enrollment activities by assisting employees with benefit-related questions, form completion, and system navigation.
  • Partner with site leadership to execute HR processes including new-hire onboarding, offboarding, and internal transfers.
  • Serve as the primary intake coordinator for Workers’ Compensation claims, liaising with employees, managers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Monitor and administer FMLA, LOA, and STD processes, including tracking eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide light recruiting support by assisting with candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with internal talent partners, external recruiters, and temporary staffing agencies to fulfill hiring needs.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting initial intake, investigations, and follow-up in partnership with the Regional HR Director.
  • Deliver timely and professional support to employees and managers on HR-related inquiries, performance concerns, and workplace issues.
  • Promote a positive work environment through proactive employee engagement and consistent policy application.
  • Contribute to light strategic initiatives including talent development, employee engagement programs, and process optimization.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Support site leadership with HR projects, change management, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of HR-related training for employees and managers.
  • Partner with the Regional HR Director and cross-functional teams to ensure HR programs align with business needs and company objectives.
  • Perform additional assignments aligned with corporate direction.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic business objectives.
