About The Position
As a Honeywell Aerospace Senior Health, Safety, Environmental Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Tempe site’s HSE management system. Your contributions will ensure compliance with the fire protection, pressure test, mechanical integrity, combustible dust, hot work, and emergency preparedness & response programs, support HSE and facilities initiatives and enhance the site safety culture. You will report directly to our Sr HSE Manager and work on-site in Tempe, AZ.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and experience implementing programs to adhere to HSE regulations
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the HSE field
- Strong working knowledge of fire protection regulations
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical integrity regulations and industry best practices, specifically around pressure vessels, pressure relief valves, boilers, and combustion systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, or science related field
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity using an HSE reporting software as a solution
- Fire Protection Compliance Experience
- Experience managing emergency response teams
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and Arizona regulations
Responsibilities
- Implement the Honeywell Health, Safety, Environmental Management System
- Manage the loss prevention programs for the site
- Manage the pressure test program for the site
- Provide technical assistance regarding health, safety, environmental compliance requirements
- Develop and administer training and communications to site personnel regarding HSE topics
- Perform site aspect and impact maturity assessments of the HSE management system
- Measure key HSE indicators and implement plans to address gaps
- Drive projects to further improve fire protection, mechanical integrity, and pressure test programs
- Support facilities construction projects and maintenance activities
