About The Position
As a Honeywell Aerospace Senior Health, Safety, Environmental Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Tempe site’s HSE management system. Your contributions will ensure compliance with the fire protection, pressure test, mechanical integrity, combustible dust, hot work, and emergency preparedness & response programs, support HSE and facilities initiatives and enhance the site safety culture. You will report directly to our Sr HSE Manager and work on-site in Tempe, AZ.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) engineering.
- Experience with loss prevention programs, fire protection, mechanical integrity, and pressure testing.
- Knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform site assessments and analyze HSE indicators.
- Project management skills for driving HSE improvements.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist).
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with combustible dust and hot work safety programs.
- Experience supporting facilities construction and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Honeywell Health, Safety, Environmental Management System
- Manage the loss prevention programs for the site
- Manage the pressure test program for the site
- Provide technical assistance regarding health, safety, environmental compliance requirements
- Develop and administer training and communications to site personnel regarding HSE topics
- Perform site aspect and impact maturity assessments of the HSE management system
- Measure key HSE indicators and implement plans to address gaps
- Drive projects to further improve fire protection, mechanical integrity, and pressure test programs
- Support facilities construction projects and maintenance activities
