About The Position

Glanbia is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to provide hands-on HR support, strategic partnership, and guidance to leaders and employees within two of Glanbia’s manufacturing facilities. This role involves partnering with business leaders on people-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent, and improving the employee experience across multiple functions and locations, including the manufacturing plant in Aurora, IL. The Sr. HR Generalist will collaborate closely with the HRBP team, business leaders, and HR COEs to deliver value-added impact that reflects Glanbia’s values and helps achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of human resources best practices and US employment law
  • Strong PC skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of an ATS system (ie, SuccessFactors) and an ERP (SAP)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to provide day-to-day HR support, ensuring alignment with company policies, values, and business goals.
  • Support workforce planning by analyzing labor needs, partnering with Talent Acquisition, and ensuring smooth hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Assist in developing strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Assist with talent initiatives such as succession planning, talent reviews, and employee development programs as directed by HR leadership.
  • Deliver or facilitate training programs for frontline leaders and employees, including leveraging existing talent development resources.
  • Assist in planning and support execution of engagement initiatives, wellbeing programs, and inclusion & belonging activities at the site level.
  • Support effective communication and change management efforts for site-level or enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and recommending solutions that align with company values and compliance requirements.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
  • Maintain and utilize HR metrics to identify trends, support problem-solving, and recommend improvements that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead or partner with other team members to execute people-related projects to help achieve business and cultural goals.
  • Conduct compensation analyses and provide recommendations to maintain competitive and equitable pay structures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across multiple sites.
