About The Position

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Sr HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team in our headquarters (San Jose, CA). Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer. As a Sr HR Business Partner, the candidate will be reporting to the Senior Director of HR and is a Full-Time position. The candidate will be responsible for acting as a dedicated HR consultant to designated business group(s) as well as leading corporate HR initiatives that align to the Company’s business and people strategies to drive organizational success. This position carries out responsibilities and/or support in the following areas: talent workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, change management and organizational design, employee experience and engagement, and people analytics. Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in HR Management
  • 5-7 years of working experience as a HR Business Partner / Generalist
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Change management skills to drive programs independently
  • Ability to lead projects to successful completion – balancing efficiency with quality
  • Positive, proactive attitude with strength in collaboration skills
  • Analytical skills with experience translating data into action planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively build relationships at levels of the organization
  • Prior experience with HRIS systems (i.e. Microsoft D365, iCIMS, Sumtotal, PowerBI)

Nice To Haves

  • PHR/SHRM certificate a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong partnership with designated business group(s) by consulting with management and assist in determining HR priorities consistent with business objectives.
  • Implement and support HR programs, processes and initiatives, such as talent management that supports building and implementing development programs for our employees and managers, leading our performance management process including working with our Compensation team on compensation planning, and M&A.
  • Manage and resolve employee relation issues promptly. This may include implementing strategies such as providing coaching/counseling of parties, thoroughly investigating concerns and managing disciplinary steps (if needed).
  • Assist in the development, implementation or interpretation of personnel policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the HR department.
  • Analyze key data trends and metrics in partnership with HR colleagues to develop solutions, programs and policies. This can be data collected through Rambus’ new hire survey, exit interviews, HR satisfaction survey and 1:1’s with employees/managers.
  • Collaborate closely with HR colleagues in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS teams as well as the regional HR Business Partners to leverage expertise, systems and processes to support business needs.
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings with respective business group(s) as well as quarterly global HR staff meetings.
  • Possess knowledge and ability to ensure all actions are in compliance with appropriate employment laws, company policies and sound business practice.
