Sr. HR Business Partner

Zillow
$72,500 - $121,800Remote

About The Position

Supporting Zillow’s fast-growing Rentals organization, the Senior HR Business Partner will be a key resource for managers, leaders, and People org partners across a dynamic, high-velocity business. The Rentals org encompasses a fast-scaling sales and product organization alongside a growing operations function — creating a rich and complex people environment that requires a skilled, adaptable HR partner who can help scale people processes. We are looking for a highly motivated HR professional with a strong desire to learn and grow within a dynamic HR environment. A key component of success will be your ability to easily adapt and thrive amidst an ever-changing organizational landscape and evolving business needs, demonstrating resilience and agility. You will build and maintain robust, trust-based relationships with employees at all levels, including senior leadership (VP/SVP), business partners, and cross-functional centers of excellence teams. This role combines proactive, strategic HR support with operational excellence in service of the Rentals organization. Serve as the primary day-to-day HR point of contact for business leaders, Directors, and front-line managers across the Rentals organization — spanning sales, product, and operations — building effective, trust-based working relationships at every level. Execute high-impact coaching and consultation for senior leaders and managers on complex performance management, organizational development, and leadership capabilities. Proactively design and implement scalable, strategic HR programs and solutions that drive business outcomes and organizational effectiveness across the full Rentals portfolio. Provide strategic guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and compliance; own the operational follow-through on complex organizational changes and leadership decisions within a rapidly growing environment. Conduct investigations of workplace policy violations with guidance from the HR Director. Partner with Rentals leaders and the broader people team to develop and execute unified HR strategies that champion growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness — including implementing programs, processes, and tools. Assess human resources needs across your Rentals client groups — spanning sales, product, and operations — in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development, and leadership development, and drive appropriate solutions in partnership with the HR Director and COE people org partners. Support the communication, rollout, and execution of cyclical HR programs and initiatives for your client groups (e.g., calibration, annual reviews, compensation planning, engagement surveys), with a lens toward the unique rhythms and pressures of a high-growth rentals business. Leverage data and feedback to identify trends and recommend actions to improve team health, retention, and performance across the Rentals organization. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $76,200.00 - $121,800.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
