About The Position

The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer serves as a trusted technical advisor and problem-solver, leading efforts to overcome complex operational and technical challenges at a cable assembly production site. The role focuses on smartBuild and draws on expertise in distributed software systems and AWS cloud infrastructure to diagnose and resolve issues across plant operations, system integrations, and cloud-based services. The engineer works closely with plant leadership and the Cadonix development team to identify system improvements, influence feature enhancements, and translate manufacturing needs into technical requirements. The role leads on-site technical support, owns resolution of complex cross-system issues, and sets priorities with plant management during production-critical incidents. It also works with Development and DevOps teams to improve reliability, performance, monitoring, and deployment. The engineer translates manufacturing requirements into change requests and solution proposals, contributes to product and technical design discussions, leads root-cause analysis, and drives preventive fixes. In addition, the role mentors a less-experienced Forward Deployed Engineer and sets standards for on-site training and documentation for operators, supervisors, and engineers.
