About The Position

PVM is hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the technical lead for Southern California Edison's environments in Palantir Foundry. These systems support wildfire mitigation, Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) operations, and regulatory reporting. The role leads architecture, ontology design, application delivery, and overall platform health, owning complex implementation efforts from design through production support. The engineer mentors other engineers and keeps solutions scalable, supportable, and aligned with enterprise governance standards. The position is onsite in Rosemead, California, with a 24/7/365 rotation and 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel is 0–10%. The position reports to Echo, Forward Deployed Strategist, and has no direct reports.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, plus at least 6 years of software engineering or systems integration experience; alternatively, at least 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Deep expertise with Palantir Foundry Ontology Manager, Workshop, Actions, Pipeline Builder, and operational application development.
Experience designing enterprise ontologies and governing reusable data models across multiple applications.
Experience supporting production operational platforms with strict uptime and response requirements.
Strong grasp of operational governance, release management, and platform support models.
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts onsite in Rosemead, California, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Experience on Foundry implementations with 50 or more ontology objects and multiple operational applications.
Experience conducting ontology reviews, governance assessments, and platform architecture evaluations.
Experience working directly with executive stakeholders and enterprise architecture organizations.
Familiarity with utility operations, wildfire mitigation, public safety, outage management, or regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for platform architecture and environment health across PSPS CDP and WiSDM.
Design and govern enterprise ontology objects, relationships, and business logic across multiple operational use cases.
Own complex implementation efforts end to end, including architecture, build, test, deployment, and production support.
Lead incident response and root cause analysis during critical operational events.
Establish governance processes for ontology lifecycle management, object reuse, and platform scalability.
Lead release management, deployment promotion, and environment governance.
Partner with utility stakeholders, operations teams, and enterprise architecture to turn operational needs into scalable Foundry solutions.
Mentor engineers on ontology design, Workshop development, operational architecture, and Foundry best practices.
Provide performance feedback on Junior and Mid-Level engineers.
