About The Position

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join its team in Bloomfield Hills. The role analyzes the company’s financial performance and advises on future financial strategy. The analyst supports leadership decision-making through financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cost analysis, and process improvements, while also mentoring other Financial Analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis.
• Ability to use advanced data analytics techniques to extract actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Attention to detail, particularly in research and work with large datasets.
• Experience working with financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
• Solution-oriented approach with a root-cause-analysis perspective.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with others.
• Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Regular attendance, strong work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills.

• Previous experience with Microsoft Power BI or related business intelligence software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and develop models for decision support.
• Prepare reports on financial performance for regular leadership reviews.
• Summarize findings related to financial reporting and advise the organization.
• Identify trends and potential causes of financial impacts.
• Make recommendations on financial decisions for the organization.
• Mentor other Financial Analysts.
• Analyze industry trends and make recommendations.
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Assist with capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
• Develop reporting and forecasting tools for efficient use of data.
• Identify and drive financial process improvements.
• Monitor operational budgets.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
