About The Position

VillageMD is seeking an experienced, strategically oriented senior financial analyst to join its finance team. The role supports financial planning and budgeting, analyzes financial statements and reports, develops financial models, and conducts research and analysis as required by leadership. The analyst provides financial guidance to project teams and contributes to month-end closing processes. The position requires strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to present financial information effectively.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
Excellent analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and spreadsheet applications.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or professional certification.
Healthcare experience.
Strong understanding of value-based care reimbursement models and alternative payment methodologies (APMs), alongside traditional fee-for-service (FFS) structures.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and ensure data accuracy.
Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Evaluate and interpret financial data to provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key financial insights and trends.
Monitor and assess company financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analyze financial and operational metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support critical business decisions by senior management.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.
Provide financial guidance to project teams and contribute to month-end closing processes.
