Sr Financial Analyst - Capital Operations
About The Position
Comcast Capital California is looking for a strategic Senior Financial Analyst to become a champion of our capital planning, analysis, and operations. This is your chance to make a real impact, managing capital projects supporting fiber construction builds from end-to-end. You'll approve budgets, create forecasts, and collaborate across all levels to ensure operational excellence. We're seeking someone who can see the bigger picture, providing insightful guidance, challenging assumptions, and fostering strong relationships. This role offers strong visibility to regional leadership and the opportunity to influence capital strategy across a growing California portfolio. This is a hybrid onsite role (4 days in office, 1 day remote) located in Livermore, CA, with occasional travel required.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to leverage the full capabilities of the Office 365 Suite.
- Experience with tools such as SQL, Tableau, Oracle Hyperion, PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 Years Relevant Work Experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AI tools and techniques for data analysis and decision-making preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own capital budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for fiber construction projects across the California portfolio
- Partner with Construction, Engineering, and Business Development teams to evaluate project financials and track spend against plan
- Conducts financial research, analyzes financial performance against objectives, and determines emerging financial trends.
- Provide clear, actionable insights on risks, opportunities, and performance to leadership
- Develop and maintain financial models, including scenario analysis and long-range capital planning
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and visibility
- Support business case development and capital investment
- Exercises independent judgment and discretion in addressing complex, high-impact business decisions
- Supports additional business operations initiatives and ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Anticipate challenges across capital projects and drive practical solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Construction, Engineering, Sales, and Business Development to drive alignment and results.
- Deliver high-quality work with strong accuracy and organization
- Maintain a strong work ethic, exceptional punctuality, and a commitment to collaborative success within the team.
