This position is a timebound full-time opportunity designed to support a specific business need with an anticipated duration through the cold and dark (retiring the generating facility) transition with an anticipated duration through approximately 2031. As a timebound employee, you will receive competitive compensation and full benefits consistent with company policy. During the this assignment, you are not eligible to apply for other opportunities until six months before the conclusion of the assignment. If you are unable to find another role within six months of the assignment end, your employment will be separated. The Senior Equipment Technician is responsible for overseeing and managing the water chemistry and overall water needs of plant to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations. This position is responsible for performing sample collection and laboratory analysis to monitor water quality and support operational decision making. The Senior Equipment Technician evaluates trends in chemical and system performance data to proactively identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions to maintain optimal system performance. The Senior Equipment Technician will provide environmental quality checks and collect data to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The Senior Equipment Technician will adhere to all internal safety standards and local, state, and federal safety regulations. The Senior Environmental Technician will need to have knowledge of utility practices and procedures, boiler water chemistry and environmental regulations.
