About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the Thin Films / Diffusion / PVD / CVD toolsets within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting capability, and a proven ability to independently own and drive equipment performance. This role is best suited for experienced technicians with strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated proficiency on one or more of the following systems: AMAT Endura/Centura PVD and HTF systems, Producer, SVG/Thermco horizontal diffusion furnaces/SEMY, Aviza Vertical Furnace, Novellus Concept One, and FSI Mercury. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining tool reliability, improving uptime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating cross-functionally across the Fab.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience, with demonstrated expertise in relevant toolsets
  • Proven ability to independently perform complex troubleshooting and maintenance in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience owning equipment performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication
  • Ability to lead within a team environment while collaborating effectively across functions
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of reliability, accountability, and consistent attendance
  • Semiconductor equipment experience required (specifically AMAT Centura, Endura, Producer toolsets, SVG Thermco 5200 furnaces, Aviza HTO Vertical Furnace, AST 2800 RTA Diffusion area equipment).

Nice To Haves

  • Military technical experience or formal technical education is a plus
  • Associates Degree in Electronics/Mechatronics is preferred.
  • Experience repairing complex manufacturing equipment (5+ years preferred).
  • Related electronics and/or mechanical Military experience will also be considered.
  • Training in the handling of hazardous chemicals, gases, and materials preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Thin Films / Diffusion / PVD / CVD equipment
  • Own toolset performance, including uptime, reliability, and resolution of recurring issues
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions for complex equipment failures
  • Partner with engineering and vendor teams to resolve technical issues and optimize equipment performance
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians during troubleshooting and maintenance activities
  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies while identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including procedures, specifications, and maintenance records
  • Support cross-functional Fab operations and provide technical expertise across multiple tool areas as needed
