As Sr Engineer, Systems Design you'll be the connective tissue across every team, partner, and milestone that brings T-Fiber products to market. This is a hybrid position required to be working in-office at least 3 days a week.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related work experience, or Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience. Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering or related field
5 years in engineering, product management, and or technical troubleshooting within telecommunications, consumer broadband, or consumer electronic
Demonstrated experience owning operational deliverables, driving large-scale hardware launches, driving quality control programs
Experience managing OEM’s, supplier relationships and other external partners
Strong knowledge of broadband hardware and familiarity with fiber technologies such as PON, fiber transport and backhaul, FTTH, and Wi-Fi
Experience with API, IoT, BiDi and Ethernet
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with emerging broadband trends — embedded AI, Wi-Fi 8, USP/TR-369 — is a plus

Responsibilities

Be the leader for technical business operations end-to-end hardware / technology and service launches across all T-Fiber workstreams, from collaborating with the Fiber partners in the field through marketing to installation in the home.
Build and drive the master hardware and technology program schedule, lead decision forums, manage escalations, and coordinate market launch.
Make sure all T-Fiber deliverables are ready for the partner early and ensure partner has everything needed to complete installations successfully on time, on budget and with best-in-class customer experience.
A high focus on quality and done once, done right.
Represent T-Fiber at the VP and SVP level with clarity on strategy, status, and risk.
Coordinate demand planning, procurement, and forward/reverse logistics with Commercial, Finance, Sourcing, and Supply Chain.
Collaborate with engineering architecture to evaluate platform tradeoffs and deliver technology recommendations spanning Wi-Fi 8, embedded AI, RedCap, XGS-PON, and RDK.
Assess roadmaps and translate emerging capabilities into long-range product planning.
Be the principal technology lane leader, acting as highest point of business operations technical, operational, and functional stewardship.
Work across numerous external fiber partners and internal T-Mobile organizations.
Lead workshops with various internal and external teams to ensure operational requirements are understood and target metrics are achieved.
