About The Position

Micron Technology seeks a Sr Engineer, IE Layout to develop and maintain equipment layout plans for semiconductor manufacturing. The role develops AutoCAD and Revit drawings for equipment installations, de-facilitations, and relocations; maintains ramp-plan layouts showing planned tool activity; and identifies opportunities to optimize current and future equipment layouts. The engineer represents fab areas and coordinates design relocations, upgrades, remodels, and expansions. The position works with Facilities, Site/Global Engineering, Fab Support/Automation, and other local and global collaborators to assess layout feasibility within structural, mechanical, electrical, cost, and schedule constraints. It also supports project planning and improvement efforts by defining requirements, timelines, and business processes, tracking collaborator deliverables, researching technical alternatives, developing processes and business rules for major layout issues, and presenting complex issues, solutions, and risks to broad audiences.
