About The Position

Lucid Motors is creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation. Our award-winning vehicles, Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, redefine their segments by combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space. We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house. We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Engineer, Aerodynamics to join our Aerodynamics team and contribute to the aerodynamic performance development of our vehicles. The ideal candidate will exhibit a can-do attitude, approach work with enthusiasm and determination, demonstrate excellence, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Generally, requires 5 + years of related experience for a Senior Engineer level
• Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Aerodynamics Engineering
• Experience in automotive or motorsport essential
• Solid understanding of aerodynamic fundamentals, CFD techniques and wind tunnel testing
• An ability to create CAD models to an excellent standard
• Working knowledge of various CFD software
• Experience with wind tunnel and track testing
• Outstanding communication and reporting skills

Nice To Haves

• 8+ years of related experience for a Technical Specialist level

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the aerodynamic design and development of world class vehicles
• Design, optimize, test, validate and implement into production innovative aerodynamic solutions
• Contribute to the development of robust yet efficient Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) processes to perform accurate vehicle aerodynamic simulations
• Work interactively and efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment, directly interfacing with the design studio and other engineers, and working with suppliers
