NASCAR is seeking an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamics Engineer to oversee NASCAR’s computational fluid dynamics (CFD) initiatives. This role involves running simulations from CAD model creation through post-processing, producing detailed analytical reports, and supporting wind tunnel testing for research and development efforts and new vehicle submissions. The engineer will work on real, high-performance race cars, using aerodynamics to influence vehicle performance on track. This position offers the opportunity to use cutting-edge simulation and analysis tools, including CFD modeling, data analysis, wind-tunnel correlation, optimization, and high-performance computing. The role is within a highly collaborative environment, applying serious engineering to a competitive motorsport setting.
