About The Position

The Sr Embedded Software Engineer will lead and generate technical solutions for current, new, and major programs. This includes specifying requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development, and testing. The role leads software system team design content and software anomaly corrections, performs complex design analysis, and specifies and balances system requirements.

The engineer works with multidisciplinary engineering teams to interpret functional requirements and implement appropriate control and diagnostic strategies. Responsibilities also include creating or modifying unit and multicomponent test cases to ensure thorough software testing, and learning new thermal systems and requirements to support controls and software development. The role requires up to 10% domestic and international travel. The work arrangement is hybrid: three days in the office and two days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and eight years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation; alternatively, a master's degree in one of these fields or a related field and six years of such experience.
• Three years of experience writing and debugging C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink.
• Three years of experience with auto code generation and Python scripting.
• Three years of experience developing embedded software architecture.
• Three years of experience with software configuration management processes and tools, including Git and GitHub.
• Three years of experience developing on SIL/HIL and other virtual environments.
• Must be able to report to a local office.

• Create or modify unit test cases and multicomponent test cases to ensure thorough software testing.
• Explore new thermal systems and requirements to enable controls and software development.
