About The Position

GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Manger/Engineer, Electrical to join our Buildings and Places Business Group in Fife, WA. This role is full time on site (5 days a week) at our Fife, WA location. At GFT, the electrical team is dedicated to creating efficient, innovative solutions for electrical systems, ensuring comfort and sustainability in every project. You will be doing a combination of the design work as well as managing projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years experience in the A/E/C industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCad, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Project Management of a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines as required for a successful project.
• Interface with clients and owners.
• Writing project specifications.
• Managing project budgets.
• Meet with clients for the purposes of obtaining future work.
• Design building and site lighting systems.
• Size, coordinate, and specify lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment.
• Calculate and analyze electrical loads.
• Perform lighting calculations to ensure adequate light distribution and energy-efficient design.
• Provide design support in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.
• Perform construction site visits and write field reports.
