WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Engineer (PE) for our Power Delivery team in Billings, MT. This position is posted in multiple office locations with the ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location (Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Charlotte, NC; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ or Freeport, ME). TRC Companies have now joined WSP, deepening our power practice and expanding our energy advisory and intelligent grid services. We're partnering with clients to shape how energy systems evolve around the world—and we need your help. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for working with our project management team, engineering teams, and directly with clients to manage business development among existing and new clients targeting NERC compliance services. Depending on candidate experience, responsibilities can include a mix of project engineering (technical team leadership), project management, or project execution (engineering). Project Engineering includes leading others in the preparation of proposals and executing studies and providing engineering services for utility, renewable, and industrial/commercial electrical power transmission and distribution systems. Project execution duties include the development of compliance studies and engineering documentation for compliance with relevant NERC standards. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Promote company culture while managing internal and external relationships Collaborate with other teams, business units, business developers and marketers Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in project meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take leading role in client relationships This position will have travel, both locally to regional clients and for site visits generally within the US, however, there will be an emphasis on the use of modern connectivity to minimize travel.
