About The Position

ROCKWOOL is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to join our Group Technology team. This position requires travel of 60%, both internationally and nationally, and the ability to relocate for extended time periods to project sites. The role involves working on projects for extended periods in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and/or Asia, and will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of new factory projects. Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, with preference for Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in a similar role working with automation and software for industry
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extended periods of presence at project sites are required, like temporary relocation
  • Ability to travel both nationally and internationally 60% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of electrical utilities to ensure that all buildings and process equipment demands for utilities are fulfilled, including supply strategy, dimensioning, and back-up considerations.
  • Execution of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Management of all phases of delivery projects, from initial order and concept study through specification and design to test, commissioning, and after-service.
  • Acting as the expert and key provider of design solutions for projects.
  • Making clear and unambiguous technical agreements with customers and other parties.
  • Ensuring necessary expertise from other departments (environment, safety, MMRs) is included in solutions.
  • Communicating with suppliers to place orders and follow up to secure compliance with specific design needs.
  • Ensuring all documentation and reporting is done and archived following company directives and Group Technology rules.
  • Managing High Voltage installation layout and contact with the power provider.
  • Specifying Low Voltage distribution (LVD) in the power load schedule for general supplies for building HVAC, general supplies for process/production plant, and complete light installation layout (inside building, emergency light, outside areas).
  • Managing main cable tray and underground service routing.
  • Managing optical network layout.
  • Specifying fire alarm, gas alarm, access control, CCTV control, building control systems, Inergen fire fighting systems, and ventilation/A/C systems.
  • Participating in budgeting and the development of tender material for suppliers.
  • Studying, learning, and demonstrating relevant ROCKWOOL technical standards.
  • Adherence to confidentiality with proprietary processes.
  • Adhering to the company’s code of conduct and values while representing the company at all times.
