About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, and execution of electrical power distribution systems for modular product applications. The role owns project-level electrical design efforts, ensuring systems are code-compliant, reliable, and manufacturable. The Senior Electrical Engineer leads design execution across projects, coordinates cross-functional integration, and provides technical guidance to engineers and designers.

The position is based in an office environment in Aurora, Colorado, and is not a telecommuting position. It may occasionally involve travel between corporate offices and jobsites in the Greater Denver Area during work hours, as well as occasional U.S. travel that is not anticipated to exceed 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• 5–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, design, and integration within critical power systems, modular infrastructure, or industrial applications.
• Strong experience with UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment integration.
• Solid understanding of power distribution design, protection concepts, and load calculations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent electrical design tools.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, UL, and IEEE.
• Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines and supporting multidisciplinary system integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on practical, buildable solutions.
• Ability to work in an office environment in Aurora during core business hours; this is not a telecommuting position.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Greater Denver Area during work hours, and occasionally within the United States; U.S. travel is not anticipated to exceed 10%.
• Ability to work outdoors and indoors, in dusty, noisy, hazardous, high, tight, confined, and other adverse locations, and in all types of weather.
• Ability to climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
• Working knowledge of trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 pounds occasionally, apply 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and apply greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship; sponsorship is not available.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles in electrical system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for assigned modular infrastructure projects, including data centers, power modules, e-houses, and electrical skids.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring layouts for AC and DC systems supporting critical power applications.
• Design and coordinate integration of BMS, controls, and auxiliary systems within modular electrical solutions.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other tools to develop detailed electrical layouts, models, and construction drawings.
• Select and specify electrical components, including transformers, switchboards, switchgear, panelboards, busway, cable tray, and cable bus systems.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to review vendor submittals, validate technical data, and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Provide technical input during shop drawing reviews and production builds, ensuring constructability and adherence to design standards.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, UL, IBC, and IEC.
• Support development and application of electrical design standards and best practices to improve consistency and scalability.
• Lead resolution of electrical design and integration issues during design, prototype, and production phases.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure fully integrated system layouts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and attend work promptly and regularly during core business hours.
• Follow safety and health requirements and stop work and notify a supervisor if an unsafe condition is present.
