The Electronics & Light Engine group provides innovation and ideation direction and solutions into all Acuity illumination products. Electronics Engineering is the key role in our illumination systems strategic vision, innovation solution designs and product lifecycle management which shape corporate and personal financial success. This role provides exposure to aspects of Acuity Brands Engineering, Optics, Supply Chain, Finance and Product Management which can support your career growth opportunities. Our exciting team is seeking to integrate a new Sr. Electronics Engineer that will independently explore new innovations to be brilliant, be productive, and be connected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience independently designing electronics hardware.
  • Strong experience with PCB design and layout.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and SPICE simulation.
  • Recent product development experience involving electronic hardware design.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Altium Designer.
  • Experience developing products for the lighting and/or LED industry.
  • Experience with firmware development or embedded systems programming.
  • Familiarity with embedded hardware and software integration.

Responsibilities

  • Independently explore new innovations to be brilliant, be productive, and be connected.
  • Design electronics hardware.
  • Perform PCB design and layout.
  • Select electronic components, perform circuit analysis, and conduct SPICE simulations.
  • Engage in product development involving electronic hardware design.
  • Take products from concept through development and commercialization.
