TCE is seeking a Senior E&I Designer to prepare design packages and detailed drawings, perform electrical sizing and load calculations, review instrumentation applications, and support project specifications, procurement, change control, and schedule and budget tracking. The role requires compliance with company and client health, safety, security, and environmental standards and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excel skills.
• SAP skills.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Plant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages, including preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables, as well as engineering calculations.
• Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies from layouts, designs, and working drawings, including necessary projections, sectional views, and standard specifications.
• Interpret verbal or written direction to initiate preliminary designs.
• Perform sizing and electrical load calculations, including cable sizing, conduit sizing, voltage drop, and cable tray calculations using charts and tables as required.
• Review and optimize the application and function of instruments.
• Check detailed sketches and drawings for project applicability and optimal construction.
• Prepare parts lists, procurement lists, bills of material (BOM), and specifications when drawings are complete.
• Implement revisions and change control according to company standards at the direction of senior-level designers and engineers.
• Confirm specification and code compliance, equipment compatibility, and optimal cost savings.
• Track and maintain awareness of overall schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
• Comply with company and client HSSE standards and federal and local HSSE regulations.
